U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command Materials Expediter in Letterkenny Army Depot, Pennsylvania

About the Position: Purchases all general supplies, tools, parts, and equipment; Tool and Calibration duties; warehouse duties to include receive, store, inspect and inventory; Hazardous Material duties Responsibilities Purchase all general supplies, tools, parts, and equipment through various methods. Schedule maintenance and lift test dates and times on all lifting devices and material handling equipment. Perform all warehouse duties to include receive, store, inspect and inventory all general supplies. Operate forklifts and load and unload commercial carriers. Perform Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) duties, create label from Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS) for all HAZMAT containers. Dispose of Hazmat containers wearing proper PPE. Operate Automated Tool Inventory Control Tracking System. Perform Tool and Calibration duties. Serve as alternate Key and Lock Custodian maintaining an automated key and lock control management system. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Expediter without more than normal supervision. Duties preformed include operating forklifts, assisting with databases and properly handling hazardous material, skilled in monitoring supplies and conducting inventories. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort - Handles items weighing up to 45 lbs. unassisted with lengthy carries. Exertion is moderate; however, some assemblies are heavy and may require the use of material handling equipment or the assistance of others. Constant kneeling, stooping, and walking are required. Education Additional Information This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB and DMRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
