Job Description

As a Fabrication Technician, you will perform manual operations throughout fabrication and machining, including loading equipment and various other tasks.
Responsibilities
Loading and operating CNC and manual milling machines; training to load various machines.
Reading and following a tool list to assemble required tooling and set tool offsets in machines using touch probes and/or Pre-Setter.
Performing manual operations in fabrication assembly including riveting, masking, installing gaskets, sealing, mechanical assembly, and epoxy bonding.
Running various fabrication equipment after machine setup, which may include Haeger, press brakes, shears, punch presses, spot welders, metal finishing machines, and CNC machines.
Completing all process/product-related documentation and inspection as it relates to the work performed.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures, work rules, and regulations.
Maintaining orderliness of products, equipment, tools, supplies, ESD, part handling, and inventory points within fabrication.
Providing assistance and interfacing with all areas of manufacturing.
Documenting actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks or rotating through different processes/jobs as required or directed.
Operating per established company policies and procedures.
Performing other tasks as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
CNC milling experience
Punch press, drill press, and shear operation
Metal fabrication - cutting, punching, grinding of sheet metal
Machine setup and operation
Ability to read blueprints, calipers, height gauges, and assembly documents
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Welding/fabrication (MIG & TIG)
Experience with CNC HAAS/Okuma machines
Programming/editing CNC machines
2+ years of related experience with a good knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the mechanical field
Experience with various milling and/or metal fabrication equipment, power tools, and assorted measuring/calibration devices
Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
Oral and written communication skills for a team environment
Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
Experience with deburr machines, turret punch presses, and other fabrication equipment is a plus
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Environment
This is a very clean and climate-controlled environment. We pride ourselves on our working culture, so new employees need to be able to get along well with others. The shift is 1st (5x4x9 schedule – 44 hours week 1, and 36 hours week 2, with overtime only after 44/36 hours).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LEWIS CENTER, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00
