Job Summary
Dorman is seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our team in our electronics remanufacturing facility in the Greater Harrisburg area (Lewisberry, PA). This position is responsible for completing engineering projects and tasks related to new product offerings and improvement of existing products and processes.
Primary Duties
Work with Project Engineers to develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes and requirements.
Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
Develop project objectives and plan by providing input specific to product/process design requirements, project elements and project scheduling.
Work closely with a multifunctional team to ensure product quality, coordinate activities, and resolve problems.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities.
Qualifications
Technical documentation skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to create and present technical reports.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and data sheets.
Strong understanding of electronic design principles and manufacturing processes
Physical Requirement : Capability to lift 20 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
Education / Experience
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar.
2+ years of relative work experience.
