YWCA Central Maine is searching for a hard-working, dependable individual to fill the part-time position of Certified Lifeguard. The Lifeguard plays a significant role in the overall success and safety of YWCA Aquatics Department activities. The Lifeguard position reports to the Aquatics Director and Assistant Aquatics Director. The position is part-time, 25 hours a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to occasional on-call needs of the building and program as requested
- Maintains cleanliness of pool area for health and safety of patrons and staff
- Instructs swim classes with children of various ages and adults
Requirements:
- American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard with CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Must be able to work independently, have knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to work as part of a team
- Must be at least 15 years of age
This position is located at YWCA Central Maine in Lewiston. Additional hours may be scheduled to meet the needs of lessons and classes.
