POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loan Servicing Manager is responsible for leading a team dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of loan servicing operations. This role involves overseeing quality control measures, tracking missing documents, facilitating the boarding of new originated loans, and managing processing modifications. Additionally, the Manager collaborates with other team members to maintain balanced GLs DDA and promptly sign off on exception and quality reports. Through effective leadership and coordination, the Loan Servicing Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational integrity and meeting established standards within the loan servicing department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the tracking and resolution of missing documents to maintain smooth loan processing operations.
  • Ensure UCC fillings are continued in a timely manner to prevent lapse and maintain security interest.
  • Lead the boarding process for new originated loans onto relevant systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage processing modifications as required, prioritizing timeliness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure balanced GLs, DDAs and timely sign-off on exception and quality reports.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the commercial teams within the bank.
  • Coordinate audit activities and maintain open communication with senior bank management regarding risk.
  • Implement and maintain controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate requests between Asset Managers and the Loan Servicing team.
  • Actively participate in meetings related to bank-wide Loan Servicing growth strategy.
  • Create and/or review servicing procedures for compliance.
  • Provide leadership to direct and non-direct reports, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
  • Regularly review processes to ensure departmental efficiency and compliance.
  • Participate in employee hiring, development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Successfully complete technical and regulatory examinations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 5 years of management experience in the financial services industry, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills.
  • 10 years of experience specifically in loan servicing, showcasing a deep understanding of loan operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in systems, databases, and interfaces relevant to loan servicing operations.
  • Solid understanding of loan compliance and SBA regulations, with a track record of ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership to a diverse team and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking concepts, practices, and procedures related to loan compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with various loan servicing systems and the loan c nversion process, enabling efficient management of loan portfolios.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs.
  • Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
  • Climate controlled general office setting with moderate noise level.
  • Must express or exchange ideas and meaning with co-workers, supervisors, customers and vendors
