Hours: Variable hours from 830am-5pm covering OP and IP therapy.
Summary:
Provides rehabilitation according to state licensure. Organizes and conducts treatment programs to restore and prevent loss of function following disease, injury and/or disability. Practices with autonomy, adhering to Best Practice guidelines and communicating with all healthcare professionals for the best plan of care for the patient.
Responsibilities:
Education
Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy required
Must possess a valid New York State license and registration to practice as an OTR
Experience
Prior experience working in a similar clinical setting is preferred
BLS within 60 days of hire
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must have knowledge of Occupational Therapy procedures.
Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift, carry, reach push/pull and perform all other occupational therapy activities to carry out resident treatment.
