Robert Half Sr. / Staff Accountant in Lewisville, Texas
Description There's currently an opening for a permanent Senior Accountant to bring their knowledge and expertise to a growing company in the Construction/Contractor industry in the Lewisville, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Construction/Contractor field and is located in Lewisville, Texas.
Responsibilities
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests Requirements - ERP system experience
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Microsoft Excel experience
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
