Fresenius Medical Care North America Associate Product Manager in Lexington, Massachusetts

Associate Product Manager, Fresenius USA Marketing, Inc. a Fresenius Medical Care N.A. Company, Lexington, Massachusetts (Remote)

Responsible for applying biomedical engineering knowledge to provide product design and marketing support to Fresenius’ Home Peritoneal dialysis and product initiatives. Will support the definition and execution of product initiatives from concept through commercial launch, as well as supporting the stage gate process with Research and Development by applying human factors engineering and ergonomic principles to optimize usability, cost, quality, safety, and performance. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Represent product management in the product development process by assessing, analyzing, and asserting our patient, customer, and internal needs.

  • Identify new product opportunities and drive alignment across the organization.

  • Provide planning and project management support for biomedical device product launches.

  • Assist in the development of marketing plans and activities for Fresenius’ Home Peritoneal dialysis solution.

  • Assist in the development and execution of promotional programs and related activities.

  • Execute marketing projects, such as customer contacts to collect feedback, support of marketing research projects, customer and field communications as well as development of analytics to support decision making.

  • Manage the document control process for product labeling and downstream marketing collateral.

  • Manage project scope and change with the ability to understand and communicate impacts to project requirements, timelines etc.

  • Interface and establish relationships with patient customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer-driven and incorporate human factors requirements.

  • Acts as product line and therapy subject-matter expert.

Requirements :

Position requires a Master’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Human Factors Engineering or a closely related field and 1 year of experience as a Biomedical Engineer or a Clinical Researcher. Must also have had 1 year of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement) (i) working with MS Excel to analyze clinical data, interpret patient feedback, and create charts to demonstrate results, (ii) working with MS PowerPoint to deliver presentations, effectively communicate the patient story, and showcase the research or product impact on patients, and (iii) networking with healthcare professionals in a clinical setting.

Must also have had experience, which can have included academic coursework and project experience with the following (a) interfacing with doctors and patients to ensure product decisions are customer-driven and incorporate human factors requirements; (b) assessing needs of healthcare professionals through customer interviews; (c) performing strategy development for a biomedical product, including conducting market analysis (e.g. SWOT or PESTLE), and building a business case; (d) performing cost-benefit analysis and creating charts to support product-market fit; and (e) presenting product, its benefits, and user cases through animated slides.

This is a telecommuting position working from home. May reside anywhere in the United States.
