Shire Head of Reporting - Corporate FP&A in Lexington, Massachusetts
Responsible for the provision of group level management accounts, performance review and financial analysis to Operations Committee, ExCo and the Board of Directors. Leads the group monthly, quarterly and annual group closing process (from FP&A perspective), including the preparation of Earnings Release materials, Global Sales Reporting Process and consolidation, Group Gross Margin Analysis, and all other controlling areas within the full P&L.

Job Function and Description
a) Lead the preparation of monthly Management Accounts (P&L), including ownership and maintenance of reporting process and preparation of CFO pack
b) Lead the preparation of the Quarterly Earnings Release CFO presentation including coordination with Investor Relations, Group Reporting and Legal to ensure alignment with 10K s and 10Qs
c) Run FX impact sensitivities at group level for earnings release presentation and to support Guidance preparation
d) Leads Non GAAP reconciliation and Non GAAP forecast preparation
e) Supports the Baxalta integration activities plan
f) Leads the Group margin consolidation and analysis
g) Leads the Global Sales reporting consolidation.
h)Leads preparation of Divisional reporting at group level
i) Leads monthly-Quarterly Audit reviews with Deloitte and Internal Audit
Education and Experience Requirements
Job candidate must possess a BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting. An MBA in Finance or Management or equivalent experience, is preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a financial or management reporting position preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in Accounting is a plus
Experience in working on a corporate level and/or with international assignments is a plus

Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling.
Solid systems skills in Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase and Smartview is desired. Knowledge of IBM TM1 is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with financial expertise and business acumen.
Self-confidence, initiative and ability to work independently in a pressured, deadline focused team environment.
Complexity and Problem Solving
Objective, critical thinking with focus on process improvements and simplification.
Makes recommendations and presents solutions on financial issues to senior commercial and financial management.
Advise management of financial implications of strategic decisions.
Internal and External Contacts
This position works closely with Finance business partners across the globe from all functions and is key point of support to the CFO and SVP Finance on ad-hoc analysis
Other Job Requirements
Occasional short-term travel for meetings with finance counterparts or for training and development opportunities.
