Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Planning and Scheduling Manager in Lexington, Massachusetts
Responsible for effectively managing all planning & scheduling activities at the Lexington Site including maintenance, calibration, validation, IT, campus, shutdown, general building, and project work.
Oversee all capital project planning and scheduling activities including managing capital project schedulers
Initiate, lead, and support continuous improvement projects (e.g., methods, tools, processes) to continually improve Planning and Scheduling. Ensure standards and work processes reflect industry best practices.
Work with and/or lead global teams to fulfil the goals of the relevant Global Engineering and Maintenance teams Mentor planning personnel (maintenance & calibration) to develop work plans including such activities as field inspection and measurement, sketches, work directions, parts list, tools, special equipment, permits, etc. necessary to complete a job.
Mentor planning personnel to prepare estimates of labor hours, tools, and materials for all planned jobs.
Manage MRO storeroom operations to ensure reliable operations of the production equipment and utilities
Foster consistent collaboration and scheduling activity for all planned work with Production and Maintenance.
Mentor scheduling personnel and build relationships with the Production Schedulers, Manufacturing and Facilities.
Work closely with Production and Maintenance crews and the Storeroom to fully develop a planned maintenance work mode leading towards accomplishing maintenance in a safe, timely manner, improving the maintenance efficiency and productivity, and continually improving equipment reliability.
Responsible for planning and scheduling all plant shutdowns
60% Oversee the planning and coordination strategy for all activities including maintenance, calibration, validation, projects, and IT work.
20% Implement and continuously improve the P&S function
20% Develop and oversee maintenance scheduling and planning procedures
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors in relevant Engineering, Project Management discipline and 10+ years’ of planning and scheduling experience. People manager experience required.
Other Job Requirements
Should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50 lbs. Valid Driver’s license.
