Senior Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. The successful candidate will support the design, development, integration, and testing of systems providing solutions to customer requirements to meet evolving challenges. The candidate must be able to handle task specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving. Support may include physical testing, analyzing data, and interpreting information. The candidate will prepare recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question. You may provide leadership and direction to team members working on the same project.

Candidate will lead a diverse team of aviation technicians implementing Delta System Software Configuration version 5 (DSSC-5) on fleet E-2D aircraft. Will collaborate with customers in the preparation of assessments, systems implementation plans, systems integration, and system test and evaluation. Designs and research subsystems interfaces to ensure subsystems are integrated and work together to form a viable complete system. Work independently and as a team leader with various Naval Squadrons maintenance departments solving complex technical and mechanical issues involving aircraft modification. Candidate will also analyze project requirements and provide information and instruction for operating, maintaining, trouble shooting, repairing, designing, modifying equipment as appropriate.

Travel (50%) is required for this position. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. During installation periods, travel will be exclusive during building and modification periods, work will be local to Lexington Park, MD.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university is required . Experience can be substituted for education.

Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of professional-related experience.

Clearance: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A final DoD Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required.

Compensation: $103,000-129,000.The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
