The technician will assist with basic housekeeping duties such as mask cleaning, room preparation for housekeeping, maintenance of documentation, and periodic on-the-fly scoring of sleep studies and HST scoring and setups. We seek individuals who can work independently and make informed decisions about their patient's care and experience. Candidates must be flexible to physician suggestions and be team players. Flexibility and willingness to cross-train to the neurology team for limited call coverage is also required. This will be discussed during the interview process. Our hospital currently uses Sunrise Clinical EMR, but this will change in due time. The sleep tech will primarily use our sleep testing system, NATUS. Data entry will primarily be in that system, but the technologist must also access the patient EMR for information purposes.
