Woof Boom Radio Operations Manager in Lima, Ohio

Woof Boom Radio, a successful, privately held regional radio group is adding an Operations Manager to their Lima, Ohio team.  In the Operations Manager role, primary duty is to protect the station licenses and oversee the overall programming in the market. You must have the ability to lead others and work in a team environment.  This position will report to the Market Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and developing the members of the programming team and on-air talent to reach their full potential.
  • Responsible for the total supervision, direction, and overall performance level of all station personnel functions with specific emphasis on program coordination, development of unique content, promotions and multi-media strategies.
  • Ensures that programming and media strategies best serve the needs and interests of the station audiences and local community.
  • Responsible for adherence and compliance to company program standards and FCC regulations.
  • Supervises use of any syndicated and/or outside services.
  • Help improve the overall sound of the radio stations through increased and regular imaging.
  • Experience with computers, radio automation systems, and digital production and editing is required.
  • Evaluating performance of the stations in the marketplace.
  • Supervise quality control of all radio stations, including broadcast signals, audio processing, and ultimately every element of programming content.  Work with on-site engineer to address any issues.

     

Qualifications:

  • Experience Leading a Programming Team with Direct Supervisory Responsibilities in a Supervisory Role
  • Knowledge of FCC rules
  • Experience programming a station
  • Experience with audio production and editing
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft 360 Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You are dependable, trustworthy, well organized, and show initiative

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity with Geographical Demographics Within the Broadcast Area
  • Experience with NextGen and Music Master
  • Experience Troubleshooting Basic Issues within Radio Broadcasts
  • Experience doing a dynamic on-air show
