Job Description Summary

The Sr. Consultant, Content Marketing is responsible for creating, managing, and delivering sales enablement content designed to help our Field Sales teams meet their objectives. This position will leverage marketing and creative experience to develop impactful sales enablement content that can be leveraged in multiple forms and on multiple channels of the sales process. The Sr. Consultant will also work with directly with the Directors, Field Marketing to ensure all content/assets are understood and used appropriately and effectively by our Field Sales team in the selling process with our independent agents. This position will also work with subject matter experts (SMEs) of various business units in the creation of effective sales enablement content.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Field Marketing, this position will proactively provide field marketing content support of Enterprise/BI integrated marketing campaigns. The position will also share Sales Enablement best practices of content development and usage, as part of the Field Marketing CoE (Center of Excellence), to ensure our Field Sales teams can maximize all Sales Enablement strategies to increase productivity and the drive further success of our Sales organization.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Sales Enablement content development and execution of effective sales enablement materials and assets

  • Responsible for Field Marketing content development and execution in support of integrated marketing campaigns

  • Works with Directors, Field Marketing, to train the Field Sales teams on how to effectively use the materials with agents

  • Creates content and sales enablement materials that helps our Field Sales team during the “evaluate” and “purchase” stages of the sales process

  • Works collaboratively with our Directors, Field Marketing, business and marketing partners, and SMEs to understand the goals of our Field Sales teams and develop relevant content to assist them in the sales process

  • Creates, develops and delivers sales enablement content for use across different mediums and published across a variety of marketing channels.

  • Reinforces established content standards and techniques consistent with marketing objectives and brand guidelines

  • Utilizes and is proficient in a wide range of applications, software, tools and equipment to create sales enablement content.

  • Stays abreast of cutting-edge technology and makes recommendations to management on potential enhancements on content and platforms.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of related content development experience.

  • Requires general knowledge of the creative development, design, copy, production and media planning functions and the ability to integrate and coordinate internal and external resources.

  • Requires some general insurance industry knowledge.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Proven track record creating effective sales enablement content, training sales teams on how to use the content and developing effective marketing tools and resources for sales teams.

  • Successfully work in a matrix organization.

  • General knowledge of digital design, flow and site organization.

  • Experience using sales enablement technology platforms (Seismic, Highspot, Allego, etc,)

  • Experience maximizing content and content types on sales enablement platforms.

  • Experience in insurance and/or financial services desirable

  • Effectively communicates with all constituencies (bottom up and top down)

  • Individual must be highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software

  • Demonstrates initiative and has a “can-do, and whatever it takes to get it done” attitude

Additional Colorado Wage Information:

  • The salary range in Colorado for this position is $65,600 to $98,400.

  • All employees are eligible for performance-based cash awards, either through Travelers annual bonus program or through the Reward and Recognition (R&R) program.
