Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the seamless processing of invoices, reconciling payments, auditing refunds, and generating relevant reports for management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and ensure the accuracy of invoice processing and adjustments
• Oversee the operations of payment processing
• Regularly reconcile credit card accounts with vendors to ensure timely payments
• Monitor and process refund checks for open credit balances and ensure their proper entry into the system
• Handle the reconciliation of void transactions related to checks issued in prior fiscal years
• Prepare and generate management reports, ensuring data accuracy and reasonableness
• Participate actively in system changes and upgrades, attending project meetings, and gathering functional specifications
• Ensure expected results by participating in the testing of all payment operations related changes and upgrades.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel and Word
• Experience in reconciling bank account statements
• Ability to handle refund checks
• Competence in creating financial reports
• Proficiency in payment processing techniques
• Experience in reconciling vendor statements
• Skills in reconcilement procedures and practices
