Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manger of International Business Development 3 to join the Weapon Systems (WS) division business development team. This position will be located in Falls Church, Virginia ; McLean, Virginia , or Linthicum Heights, Maryland .
This position will report to the Director of International Business Development for the Weapon Systems (WS) division. The qualified applicant will lead international business development (BD) activities and engagements in Washington D.C. for the division – to include pipeline development, international capture, and rapid international business growth in 50+ countries.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies, or services. Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of product development. Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinates with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
Support the business unit and profit & loss (P&L) leaders to achieve near-term and long-term growth targets
Primary lead for all international engagements in Washington D.C. to create business growth across a broad global matrix of the Weapons System Division's diverse products and customers
Participate in coordinating business unit international growth priorities and creating a division international growth strategy that supports division, sector, and enterprise strategies
Support a team of regionally focused international business development representatives
Lead division approach towards international engagements in Washington D.C., and participate worldwide in developing international partnerships, industrial collaboration, and offsets
Primary liaison for sector and corporate international and USG engagements in the Washington D.C. area
Support division presence at international tradeshows and senior leaders’ international customer engagements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 13 years of experience in the defense / aerospace business
Experienced Business Development professional with extensive prior experience in international capture and business development across multiple regions, countries, and customers
Ability to lead and teach best practices in international business development
Experience with shaping USG and foreign MoD policy towards international business priorities
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance of which US citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree and/or 20+ years of work experience in the defense/aerospace business, military, or national security enterprise with majority of time spent supporting international development efforts
Understanding of Northrop Grumman business priorities, strategy, capture resources, and key stakeholders
Extensive professional network with key USG stakeholders that support NG international growth objectives
Experience with the NG BAP, international pipeline, and NG international business processes (L-316, CoC)
Prior experience with Weapon Systems products, including a demonstrated understanding of key systems, international competitors, and international trends in tactical missiles, land warfare, and munitions
Experience leading and managing P&L resources and/or investment prioritization
Proven track record in creating business growth across international markets
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Salary Range: $156,800 - $235,200
Salary Range 2: $164,300 - $246,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
