Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our Operations Department as a Technical Services Project Management Specialist located at our Baltimore, MD campus supporting the Secure Processing Operating Unit (OU).

What You’ll get to Do:

Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Operations Execution Manager (OEM), program engineering, program office(s) and with manufacturing operations functional team. You will be part of the team responsible for execution of the distribution scope of a multi-million dollar program. In this role, you will help guide and lead a cross functional team by ensuring logistic issues and roadblocks are resolved quickly, and that the manufacturing program(s) perform on time and on budget. You will be a key point of contact within operations for the program(s).

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepares project execution plan and coordinates activities between client and company personnel.

  • Monitors project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections.

  • Oversees performance of projects or engagements and typically utilizes management skills more than technical skills.

  • Resolve logistic and operational issues by working with cross functional teams.

  • Coordinate responses with functional organizations to keep projects on schedule.

  • Propose, plan/baseline, and execute to performance management baseline.

  • Perform risk and opportunity management functions for the manufacturing scope in concert with the overall program.

  • Resolve material, manpower, and machine issues to ensure successful manufacturing performance.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Responsible for data preparation and ensures data integrity.

This position can be filled at the Principal Technical Services Project Management level (Deputy Operations Program Manager) or at the Senior Principal Technical Services Project Management level (Sr. Deputy Operations Program Manager).

Basic Qualifications Principal Technical Services Project Management Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR 3 or more years of experience with a Master's (Note: an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).

  • 3+ years of experience in Program and/or Project Management.

  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Technical Services Project Management Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience; OR 7 or more years of experience with a Master's (Note: an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).

  • 3+ years of experience in Program and/or Project Management.

  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels:

  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement

  • Experience working on government contracts.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management.

  • Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be able to work with diverse groups and various levels of leadership and organizations.

Salary Range: $102,400 - $153,600

Salary Range 2: $127,000 - $190,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
