Overview
• Nowadays, consumers expect digital shopping experiences, online and offline. To meet consumer expectations, merchants are investing to upgrade retail POS hardware, build online storefronts leveraging independent software vendors, launch new mobile apps and digitize loyalty programs. As part of this movement, merchants and service providers have organically created many innovative use-cases, such as, "Just Walk Out”, “Click & Collect”, and “Scan and Go”.
• This role is part of the Digital Innovation & Next Gen team, part of Global Acceptance, and focuses on the successful documentation, standardization, execution, and early scale of the Next Gen Product APIs (Cardholder Enrolment, Cardholder Presence Verification, Shopping Cart Plug-in, Payment Orchestration, Merchant Sanction Screening).

We are looking for a top performer with entrepreneurial spirit and experience in executing complex technology projects to play a key role in securing new growth opportunities while working with exceptional colleagues around the globe to scale up the Next Gen POI capabilities.
Primary responsibilities
• Define and lead product documentation as well as standardization requirements for the development of Next Gen product capabilities that enable acquirers, merchants and/or other acceptance ecosystem players to participate at scale.
• Determine the feature roadmap for engineering.
• Support the deployment of new API-based services and determine best paths to integrate Next Gen APIs in Mastercard’s broader acceptance solutions.
• Train cross-functional stakeholders across regional product, go-to-market product teams, customer solution center, and customer delivery to jointly carry the implementation across markets.
• Establish analytics and tracking mechanisms to measure the impact of early implementation and translate these insights into required enhancements, if any.
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external customers including merchants, issuers, digital partners, payment service providers, and acquirers to scale up the product roadmap.
• Conduct implementation workshops with key market test and early scale partners.
All About You
• Strong product and technical skills, experience in developing and translating requirements / features into product implementation plans across multiple markets.
• Take full responsibility for projects from conception to completion, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to conceptualize, build, and launch scalable, market-ready products
• Ability to articulate detailed product requirements, craft technical solutions, and leverage a deep understanding of system capabilities and constraints to successfully implement new features and improvements
• Product competency in payment networks, technology, web services, architecture and APIs, able to understand complex technical concepts, business needs, competitive offering and industry trends and apply them to real-world problems to deliver solutions.
• Strong verbal communication, comfortable presenting, influencing, and negotiating at management level, able to shift gears for audiences from different business disciplines of varying technical ability.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and highly organized, holding self and others to high standards, able to work autonomously and as part of a team, fostering a positive team culture
• Open and creative; comfortable with uncertainty in a changing/fast paced environment
• Computer Science background preferred
