Robert Half has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity that offers a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Based out of the Lititz, Pennsylvania area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract

What you get to do every day

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

  • Conduct full-cycle A/P

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed

  • Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

  • Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

  • Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

Requirements

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Knowledge of Expense Reporting

  • Coding Invoices experience

  • Well-founded grasp of check processing

  • Proven knowledge of Check Runs

  • Deep understanding of expense reports
