As an Occupational Therapist at CHI St. Gabriel's Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll help our patients regain their independence and quality of life so they can safely go about their daily activities. The Occupational Therapist serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing services to a wide variety of populations which may include inpatient medical/surgical, inpatient/outpatient orthopedics and outpatient adults and pediatrics.

Responsibilities
You’ll work alongside physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other health professionals to evaluate patients, develop a plan of care, complete appropriate billing and carry out their treatment plan
You’ll see a diverse patient population addressing concerns related to pre and post surgical orthopedic, upper extremity/hand focused rehabilitation, neurological, sensory, mental health and varying chronic medical conditions
Be able to develop a plan of care and be able to progress patients to goal attainment.
Be able to work with a variety of adaptive equipment, be able to fabricate/modify and form necessary splints on an as needed basis.
Complete DME evaluations and provide supporting documentation of medical necessity for obtaining wheelchairs/scooters and ADL related adaptive equipment.
Complete cognitive assessments in both inpatient and outpatient settings to assist with discharge planning and community safety.
Maintain licensure and registration at both state and national level.
Provide mentoring for level 1 and 2 fieldwork students in area of practice.
Support for obtaining additional specializations available based upon interest and need available
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Doctorate program in occupational therapy approved by an accredited organization
Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist within the State of Minnesota;
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (will provide training if needed)

Pay Range
$36.28 - $46.11 /hour
