A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Our Internal Tax team provides internal services related to financial services, treasury and taxation. As part of our team, you’ll help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management and transaction processing.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

  • Performing federal, state, local tax return review, tax regulations, tax compliance and tax consulting issues;

  • Understanding partnership and partner tax allocations;

  • Understanding foreign reporting requirements including information returns and foreign withholding for all entities;

  • Monitoring tax compliance requirements across multiple domestic and international entities, and managing ongoing tax audits;

  • Conducting tax research including strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks, solving complex issues impacting tax returns, determining proper tax return treatment/presentation and review related technical tax memorandum;

  • Working with financial statements as well as transaction level journal entry detail and overall accounting skills;

  • Understanding financial systems, business processes, organization structure and the legal structure as it relates to filing requirements and planning opportunities for the Firm and all of its related entities;

  • Coordinating with other departments within the Firm to prepare, review, and analyzing reports necessary for preparation of the Firm's tax returns;

  • Innovating through new and existing technologies, as well as experimenting with digitization solutions;

  • Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to firm leadership;

  • Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize processes;

  • Creating a positive environment, monitoring workloads of team members, providing meaningful feedback in a timely manner, and participating in the hiring process to help establish a department with high quality staff;

  • Keeping leadership informed of progress and issues;

  • Collaborating with team members virtually, including managing and supporting the work/life balance of the team; and,

  • Building relationships with other groups and stakeholders across the Firm.

The salary range for this position is: $89,000 - $315,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
