Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for managing the DISH Wireless Commercial Data Analytics team, coordinate and execute projects related to getting data, integrations and designing the fully-automated analytics modules catering to DISH business team needs and the analytics product offerings in the marketplace for Commercial customers. The manager will focus on translating the catalog of DISH Wireless data from BSS, OSS, NSS or external sources to insights, KPIs and metrics providing instant value to business and creating monetizable products with necessary guardrails aligning with security, privacy, compliance and regulations. This individual will play an active role in delivery and ensure alignment to the end-state architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise on Wireless Analytics and technical leadership
Manage Data & Analytics team and execute the projects end to end
Understand business needs and analytics product offerings to define Commercial data and analytics architecture
Evaluate and recommend appropriate software to deliver analytics solutions
Hire and develop an exceptional Data Analytics team
Work with business teams, define ROI & business value for data analytics products
Build technical, product vision and long term plan for the data analytics team
Brainstorm ideas and execute proof-of-concepts and prototypes
Ensure implementation of agreed upon architecture and infrastructure
Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions
Assist in solving technical problems when they arise
Identify, evaluate and assess risks to mitigate them and eliminate issues that may hinder successful delivery of solutions
Monitor systems to ensure they meet the partner, user and business goals
Execute and deliver solutions, features using agile delivery methodologies
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
8+ years as a Data Analytics Manager/Lead in the wireless/telecom space in Sales, Marketing, Retention, Product, Revenue and Partner Management etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
10+ years of hands-on experience with development and delivery of secure, reliable and scalable big data solutions using agile methodologies
Expert in building highly performant SQL based solutions delivered using file feeds, Data-as-a-Service APIs, streaming data analytics and BI tools like Tableau
Expert in data management and engineering capabilities
Experienced in Real-time streaming analytics solutions built on Kafka, Elasticsearch & Kibana
Understanding of strategic IT vision and designing analytics solutions
Experience in cloud technologies (like AWS) and data analytics platforms
Experience with design & deliver of fully self-service analytics solutions
Experience designing fully automated, configuration driven, extensible solutions
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment across different geographies and vendors
Experience engaging in programs with multiple stakeholder organizations
Experience building and maintaining data catalog with dictionary
Experience in converting business scope to insights, KPIs and metrics
Experience with establishing Data Governance rules aligning with stakeholders
Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M or Airflow
Experience identifying, defining and applying data quality improvements
Ensure compliance on all deliverables by performing data audits and analysis
Good understanding of predictive and prescriptive AI/ML solutions
Excellent planning, coordination and written/verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Organizational and leadership skills
Ability to strategize, adapt and deep dive into new technologies
Strong desire to learn new things and continually improve
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $145,000.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
