Shift : Day Shift

Location: 7700 S. Broadway, Littleton, CO

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Littleton

The role you’ll contribute:

Assist the staff by performing tasks related to the transport of patients, and indirect patient care. Provide an effective method for the delivery of necessary supplies and items for continuous patient care.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Performs the safe, timely transport of patients interdepartmentally and upon discharge.

  • Conducts rounds for the proper, timely delivery and pickup of various items such as supplies, records, specimens, x-rays, orders and equipment.

  • Promptly responds to stat calls and meets requests of clinical staff

  • Responds to calls regarding violent patients and assists in take down.

  • Remains accessible at all times and offers to help in order to alleviate heavy transitional work loads.

  • Accurately reports any observed patients status change needs to Technologist or Nurse

  • Organizes and prioritizes work to be completed with assigned time frame.

  • Documents all round times and stat trips on transport daily log if applicable.

  • Performs the safe, timely transport of patients interdepartmentally and upon discharge

  • Informs patient of procedures.

  • Responsible for the transport of patient valuables/belongings and ensures they accompany patient

  • Conducts rounds for the proper, timely delivery and pickup of various items such as supplies, records, specimens, x-rays, orders and equipment

  • Promptly responds to stat calls and meets requests of clinical staff

  • Responds to calls regarding violent patients and assists in take down

  • Remains accessible at all times and offers to help in order to alleviate heavy transitional work loads Communicates frequently with Unit Clinical Coordinator regarding current work status and whereabouts.

  • Communicates frequently with Unit Clinical Coordinator regarding current work status and whereabouts.

  • Accurately reports any observed patient status change needs to RN.

  • Organizes and prioritizes work to be completed with assigned time frame.

  • Performs stocking duties as assigned and directed by staff.

  • Reports any mechanical malfunctions to staff.

  • Maintains department stretchers, wheelchairs in patient ready condition

  • Safely maintains oxygen tanks

  • Measures and records patient's weight as directed by nursing personnel.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree

· HS GED

Experience:

· 5 years within a facilities role

· 2 years in a supervisory/management role
