Job Summary:
The Radiology Registered Nurse provides care in the healthcare system within the scope of practice defined by regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate from an accredited school or university
Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
Preferred:
Bachelor s degree preferred
Critical Care Course completion
Certifications and Licenses Required:
Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
ACLS from the American Heart Association
PALS from the American Heart Association.
Scheduling Requirements:
Per Diem
Work a minimum of 15 hours per month
Available to cover days, evening and weekend shifts
Essential Functions:
The Radiology RN possesses a knowledge of theory and practice in order to diagnose and treat the human response to actual or potential physical and emotional health problems. The seven domains of professional nursing practice are rendered in accordance with the nursing process which includes assessment of patients, identification of problems and strengths, the planning and enactment of interventions and the evaluation and documentation of methods and outcomes of the nursing care provided. This process includes the involvement of the patient s significant others and is in collaboration with the physicians and those of other disciplines. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on his or her assigned unit
