Overall responsibility for the efficient operation, maintenance, and coordination of all plant improvement projects, directing and supporting the maintenance teams and EHS systems involved with the facility. Facilities Engineer will report directly to the Business Unit Manager. Degreed Engineering position will have a maintenance leader on-site. The maintenance leader will report directly to the Ops leader on-site in the respective plants, with a dotted line responsibility to the new Facilities Engineer.
-Oversee management of building, grounds, facility maintenance department team leads, and associated staff. -Must engage team in High Performance Team initiatives and promote High Performance Environment. -Administer annual budgets for operation and management of maintenance department. -Develop efficient cost-effective means of facilities maintenance operations. -Improve and maintain current facility EHS and emergency management training programs. -Schedule project and staff assignments to comply with facility needs and priorities. -Manage selection, training, and development of facilities maintenance department staff. -Support staff on facility improvement projects. -Oversee facilities contracts with vendors, service providers, and facility purchases. -Minimal travel may be required to other facilities to support projects or kaizen activities.
Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering or Technology field and 3-5 years of related experience. EHS background/experience preferred. -5+ years management experience preferred. -5+ years automation experience preferred. -Proficient with programming and troubleshooting ABB Robots, various PLSs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, vision systems, and area scanners. -Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. -Demonstrated supervisory experience. -Understanding of normal manufacturing facilities including mechanical and electrical systems. -Excellent analytical and organizational skills. -Ability to motivate staff.
