The CAD Drafter uses knowledge of construction practices, Building Code requirements, and technical information about building components, furniture, equipment, and utility systems for the department to remodel, upgrade, and expand company facilities.As a CAD Drafter, you will:Produce architectural plans, sketches, construction drawings, and details for construction and renovation projectsCoordinate equipment and building systems information (including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, lighting, process workflow, and other systems)Support projects team with building information about existing facilitiesMaintain and update record drawings of existing facilities, equipment, furniture, etc.Perform field measurements and prepare record drawings from measurements and notesLayout office furniture configurations for new space configurationsTo be considered as a CAD Drafter, you will need:Associate's degree in architectural drafting or related field from an accredited college3 years related experience in architecture, construction engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education w/experienceAbility to read, understand and create construction drawings, and a good understanding ofcommercial construction practicesExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsInitiative to work independently and handle several assignments simultaneouslyAbility to absorb and apply new technical assignments independentlyFollow all aspects of project workflow and execute department project processes.Complete project responsibilities to best support project scope with prompt timingPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction engineering, or related fieldExperience with Autodesk AutoCAD softwareExperience with HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing systemsOther relevant commercial construction experienceAdministration and maintenance of departmental plotters and graphics equipmentAssist with development and update of standards for design and constructionAbility to print, mount, and laminate corporate graphics and signageIf you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.Please visit our careers page and apply by clicking on this link:https://jobs.roush.com/us/en/Visit our website: www.roush.comLike us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/RoushCareersRoush is an EO employer -- Veterans/Disabled and other protected categoriesIf you need a reasonable accommodation for our employment application process due to disability, please contact Roush Talent Acquisition at 734-779-7087.
