Robert Half's trusted client is seeking detail-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst consultant for a long-term engagement. The Sr. Financial Analyst Consultant will be managing SG& A budgeting and forecasting, building budgets, and conducting ad hoc financial analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting functions, budget processes, finance, and proficiency in Excel formulas. This role is in Livonia, MI and will report directly to the Vice President of FP& A.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Manage SG& A budgeting and forecasting to ensure financial efficiency.

• Build out budgets and manage them effectively to align with company's financial goals.

• Handle multiple systems to streamline financial processes and enhance productivity.

• Leverage Oracle experience to conduct complex financial analysis and reporting.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare files monthly to support decision-making processes.

• Engage in project work to build reports that give our leaders insights by analyzing financial data.

• Track and analyze expenses, ensuring accurate invoice payments.

• Oversee accounting functions and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies to improve financial performance.

• Utilize Excel formulas for complex financial calculations and data analysis.

• Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is necessary for this position

• Understanding and experience in Budget Processes is required

• Knowledge in the field of Finance is essential

• Advanced proficiency in Excel Formulas is a requirement for this role

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is critical for success in this position

• Applicant must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary

• Ability to work independently and in a team is required

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines is essential

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or similar is a plus.
