Standard Die International Tool Room Machinist in Livonia, Michigan
Job Duties
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
Work from blueprints and modify dies to conform to engineering changes.
Set-up and operate all toolroom machinery such as lathes, grinders and drills.
Plan and fabricate intricate tools, fixtures and gauges within small, tight tolerances and surface critical parts.
Make minor repairs to stamping dies as instructed by supervisor.
Support production with tryouts and troubleshooting at production workstations as needed.
Maintain and troubleshoot progressive, draw and blank dies.

Supervisory Responsibility: None
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. Preferred but not required associates in Machine Tooling/Apprenticeship program with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
Position Type/Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Currently operating with one shift Monday-Friday. First shift hours are 6:00a-2:30p.
