We have a fantastic opportunity for a Training & Development Specialist join our Siemens Mobility Education and Skills (E&S) Training function. Reporting to the Senior Training & Development Specialist and working closely with the wider Rail Infrastructure Business Partner & Training Team, you will be responsible for the delivery and updating of training material and equipment, related to our Networks and Communication Infrastructure Systems (CIS) business.

Please note that you are expected to travel to Siemens and Customer sites in this role and courses to be delivered are CISCO, CCNA, and similar and Siemens communications systems

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Delivering our new training material and supporting the planning and implementation of legacy product related training for our client.

  • Liaising with the relevant seniors and departments to keep up to date with all new technology, taking a role in development and implementation of the new technology training strategy.

  • Applying your existing experience to delivering Networks and communications infrastructure training to ensure key business deliverables are achieved.

  • Supporting the drive for Siemens’ training offering forward using technology and modern training techniques.

  • Developing and deliver learning / training solutions using a combined approach to both internal and external staff related safety critical networks and communication systems.

  • Being responsible for the creation of new course material, the update of existing material and developing requirement and story boards for e-learning.

  • Ensuring solutions are delivered in accordance with Siemens safety and quality procedures and meet all applicable legislation, safety/customer standards and project requirements.

Your Success will be grounded by:

  • ONC/Level 3 education in a STEM subject.

  • Knowledge of CISCO courses and railway communication systems.

  • Experience in developing and reviewing training materials, strategies, and video processing/transmission systems.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and self-initiative skills, with the ability to work independently or in a virtual team.

  • Experience in regulated industries with high compliance standards.

It would be advantageous to have:

  • Be able to teach aspects of Siemens communication systems.

  • Be able to teach aspects of CISCO academy courses (CCNA) and IP Networks.

  • Experience with general railway networks, communications and signalling.

  • Experience with application of distributed systems or control system networks and Cybersecurity.

  • CIPD Training and Development qualification or equivalent experience.
