M&R Contracting, Inc. is a well-established construction company based in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Since its founding in 1987, the company has built a strong reputation in the Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional construction industry.
They offer a wide range of services to meet individual needs and budgets, including concrete work, metal framing, carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, door and window installation, finishes, and special construction projects.
M&R is looking to add 4 rough carpenters to their team to work on a 6-month contract-to-hire position in Lewistown, PA at Geisinger Health as they are remodeling the facility.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rough Carpenter with 2-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing rough carpentry tasks on various construction projects, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform rough carpentry tasks, including framing, blocking, and installing temporary structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Measure, cut, and shape materials such as wood, plastic, and fiberglass.
Ensure projects comply with building codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and project managers.
Inspect and evaluate the quality of work performed.
Troubleshoot and resolve carpentry issues as they arise.
Maintain project schedules and communicate progress to project managers.
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
