Acara Solutions Temporary Test Engineer in Lockport, New York


Description

Acara Solutions is seeking a Temporary Test Engineer for our client in Lockport, NY!

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

  • An electrical engineering background
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing methods of testing/troubleshooting systems and equipment
  • Excellent critical thinking skills

Here's what you'll do:

  • Troubleshoot existing PCBA and classified unit designs for assembly as well as design related issues.
  • Assist in the development of test systems for new product designs, providing feedback to design teams, addressing opportunities for defects in manufacturing and field use.
  • Use Labview and Teststand in the above two functions.
  • Verify products meet their functional requirements - including running automated and manual tests.
  • Perform HW and SW validation activities for new products.
  • Record all work in clear and concise language.

Position Type: Temporary (Through June 2025)

Pay: Up to $60/hr. Depending on experience

Schedule: M-F 1st Shift

Job Requirements

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the electrical engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years' design/development team or manufacturing support experience.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in LabView and Teststand application development.
  • Strong problem-solving attributes.
  • Proven ability to methodically solve complex, technical issues.
  • Understanding of Six-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology desired.
