Position: Test Engineering Technician

On-Site Position: Logan, UT

Job Summary: Technicians will assist test engineers with production process documentation, test procedures, failure analysis, production support, and workstation setup. They will ensure that products, services, and systems meet certain standards of quality while following defined procedures and processes.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Creates and maintains test fixturing and documentation
  • Helps engineers in various tasks including designed experiments, failure analysis, design for manufacturability (DFM) reports, test procedures, process improvements, and test fixture setup.
  • Provides production support to resolve defects and improve processes
  • Reviews document packages and assists in product quotes
  • Implement customer test requirements
  • Support and sustain test configurations
  • Conducts and evaluates test technician training, per manufacturing procedures

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Basic level computer skills including Microsoft Office and CAD
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to identify electronic components on a schematic or technical drawings
  • Troubleshoot electronic-related defects in a production environment
  • Moderate level of attention to detail
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED (Required)
  • Vocational/technical degree in the Electrical Engineering field (Required)
  • 1 -- 3 years related work experience (preferred)

Requirements

  • All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. We cannot provide sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
