This is a professional position whose purpose is to organize, oversee and manage a specific site of the Fresh Start Program. The manager will function as the day-to-day manager of the program's activities, working with community partners and linking Fresh Start participants to applicable and relevant educational and employment opportunities, attend weekly staff meetings with the Program Coordinator, provide weekly updates, establish and work to maintain community partnerships, meet regularly with community partners, ensure that Fresh Start Gardens are functioning efficiently and ensure food distribution to food pantries is arranged. Desirable skills include: knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, effective communication skills including public speaking, organizational skills, knowledge of local community structure and resources, time management skills and interest and knowledge in gardening and agriculture. HS/GED required. Experience working with substance using individuals required. Preference given to persons possessing an agriculture or human services degree and/or peer recovery support state certification.
