ROLE PROFILE

Position: Accounting Clerk

Job Type: Temporary / Contract

Location: DeeTag - London, Ontario

Status : Non-Exempt

Reports to : Assistant Controller

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.

  • Open and distribute mail

  • Scanning paper cheques to bank

  • Posting cheques and daily EFT payments to P21 ERP ystem

  • Process (pre-authorized) credit card payments from customers

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) follow-up on missed payment dates

  • Recording AR calls and follow-up to P21

  • Process AR statements and missing invoice requests

  • New customer information review and entry into P21

  • Responds to credit reference requests

  • Ariba platform invoice posting for large customers

  • Information access platform entry as required

  • Monitor invoice status on specified iSupplier portal

  • Monitor all customer returns daily to confirm authorized status

  • Monthly monitoring of customer accounts and reconcile to customer;

  • Performs additional duties as assigned

  • Complies with the employee handbook and company policies governing associate conduct

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work independently and with a team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting Degree / Diploma, or equivalent work experience.

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • 40-hour work week;
