BT Trading and Command is a leading global provider of specialist voice systems for financial trading and control centres environments. We operate in more than 50 countries with thousands of users in mission-critical environments.

We are now developing a cloud centric, multi-channel capability built on Microsoft Azure and Teams platforms, transforming our proposition from hardware-based to a cloud software, subscription-based global business.

We seek a dynamic and ambitious sales professional to win new acquisition business in a competitive environment. At the same time the successful individual will have the opportunity to lead and develop a young sales team. We will help you develop your own sales skills in a global business with exposure to varied regional and global customers across the financial trading sector.

There is potential for the role to stretch to include an EMEA-wide responsibility in addition to the UK.

What you’ll be doing

As a Sales Leader within our BT Business team you will identify and win new clients, focussing on the investment banking market vertical, whilst leading sales growth within our existing accounts.

You’ll bring a strategic mindset to sales, helping driving new business. You and your team will work closely and collaboratively across various stakeholders internally and externally, such as product management, sales engineering and BT account teams.

Your portfolio will consist of;

  • BT’s voice trading platform, delivered in cloud or on-premise

  • Compliance / regulatory-related software applications such as voice recording

  • Cloud-based service propositions

This role is based from our flagship head office in the City of London. Your client contact will principally be face-to-face within the London financial district.

We’ll be looking for strong customer engagement skills and a willingness to travel.

The skills you’ll need

  • A track record of consistently achieving sales targets

  • Comfortable with face-to-face presentations to senior customer contacts

  • Familiarity with cloud-based software solutions, especially Microsoft Azure and Teams

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage customer expectations

  • People leadership experience, inspiring and leading teams

  • Experience with the investment banking market is preferred but not essential
