About our Team

As a member of the Legal and Compliance Team, you will partner with the business to develop and use advanced analytics and innovative technologies which help individuals get fair prices on insurance and promote safe driving habits, help the unbanked get access to credit, prevent identity theft, provide intelligence services for commodities markets, offer comprehensive HR solutions, power the future of travel, revolutionize the agriculture and animal health industries, and provide the tools to find and locate missing children.

About the Role

We are looking for a US-qualified lawyer to support our businesses in the US. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, shifting hours to support the US business.As a General Counsel Consultant, you will provide expert legal guidance and strategic advice to clients. You'll analyse complex legal issues, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulations, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Your expertise will drive informed decision-making and support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiating customer data license agreements.

  • Working with our US businesses to advise on contractual and other issues as they arise.

  • Identifying issues and advising others in the legal group as well as internal clients.

  • Advising the business on matters in relation to US contract negotiations, regulatory and compliance advice, and other matters.

  • Streamlining legal operational processes as well as providing legal support to our US businesses

  • Working closely with our sales leaders in the US to support the day-to-day needs of their growing businesses.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in a US state with relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.

  • Communicate and able to hold your own with sales teams in a ever-changing environment.

  • Recognise attention to detail and polished verbal and written communication skills.
