Finance Business Partner – DLE and Housing

You could be perfect as our Finance Business Partner – based in Bristol, Birmingham, Belfast or London.

In this role, you will serve as a key business partner to the sales leaders and become the primary point of contact for the business.

Your responsibilities will include holding business leaders accountable for achieving their sales and profit targets. You will use financial data and insights to drive action, optimise productivity, and enhance performance on both tactical and strategic levels.

This role is crucial in supporting the customer-facing sales channel, helping them meet their financial targets in support of CPS, Business, and BT as a whole.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner.

  • Support the Sales Directors of the unit and their teams in all finance-related aspects.

  • Produce monthly reporting packs that provide a three-way perspective, focusing on customers, products, and trading impacts.

  • Improve the impact of financial reporting on the unit’s performance.

  • Develop and own forward forecasting for the Forecast Outlook and MTP, taking into account Work in Progress (WIP), new deals, and customer insights on losses, churn, etc.

  • Provide comprehensive product support across the business.

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure opportunities are logged and accurately captured in the outlook.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Financial Analysis: Oversee and review the financial and operational analysis for the business.

  • Attention to Detail: Provide in-depth commentary that reflects an understanding of the wider operating environment, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.

  • Forecasting, Planning, and Budgeting: Oversee and review forecasts/budgets at a detailed level.

  • Feedback and Insight: Provide detailed feedback and insight to the business on its financial performance.

  • Commercial Acumen: Possess commercial acumen to drive for the right outcome while being aware of risks.

  • Growth Mindset: Demonstrate a growth mindset and the ability to think differently to solve problems and come up with new ways of working.

  • Relationship Building: Ability to build strong relationships across the business while ensuring accountability for business performance.

  • Qualifications: Must be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.).
