Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic Healthcare is looking to recruit an experienced individual to join their Finance department as a Financial Controller, on a full time and permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the Division Chair of International Finance for Mayo Clinic with the financial running of the clinic, by assisting with the provision of financial / commercial data and analysis.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare group reports, budgets, forecasts, KPI’s and commentaries. Support the development of the annual business development plan.

  • Month end preparation and closure, including revenue and cost capture, accruals and prepayments, reporting within designated central timelines in collaboration with any external vendors.

  • Support clinical and operational teams with appropriate financial and commercial reporting.

  • Facilitate a secure, accurate and confidential payroll service to the site in collaboration with external vendor(s) as appropriate.

  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place to guarantee the integrity of financial reporting and all reporting is in line with regulatory guidance.

  • Provide information for audits and internal reviews as required.

  • Develop financial proformas and forecasts to support the assessment of service line expansion or other business development endeavors in the market.

  • Support Mayo Clinic finance more broadly in month end reporting/analytics to support broader international operations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong leadership qualities that make for a trusted partner to clinical and operational leaders.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a good eye for detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced excel skills essential.

  • Have varied all round management accounts experience including budgeting and forecasting, as well as completing month end duties without assistance.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience. A master's degree may be preferred.
