Main Purpose of the Role :

We have an exciting opportunity within our London Financial Planning & Analysis team.

The main purpose and focus of this role is Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) business partnering, providing insightful management information and delivery of a number of key monthly set of management reports.

The role will cover Revenues, Direct Expenses, Indirect Expenses, NOP, Credit Costs and Return on Equity (RoE). There will also be a lot of involvement in Balance Sheet reporting for Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Funded Loans, Revolving Contractual Balances, Deposits and Loan-Deposit gap. The role is a fantastic opportunity to have exposure to all of the GCIB business from Revenues down to RoE and significant involvement in a number of key stakeholders in London, Europe and Tokyo.

The candidate will provide management information to businesses and Senior Management (incl Head of GCIB, EMEA CFO) throughout the year, including extensive forecasting and working closely with the team to provide added value financial information for key decision making

There are a plenty of opportunities to work on high profile strategic initiatives across the business, contributing ideas, supporting decision making and executing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the control, preparation and reporting of key monthly management financial reports.

  • Full involvement in annual business plans, budget, forecast and monitoring performance against prior year and budget.

  • Production of a number of different sets of monthly financials including managerial reports, Client view reporting and GCIB Contribution reporting

  • Consolidate monthly MI reports for Tokyo Head Office – primarily forecast based.

  • Actively investigate, manage and report potential value generation / protection opportunities

  • Development and enhancement of relationships with Regional heads, Tokyo stakeholders and London stakeholders

Skills and Experience:

  • CIMA or ACA qualified preferred

  • Excellent level of MS Excel and ability to re-engineer key reports

  • Ability to manage large volumes of data

  • A good level of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis role

  • Familiarity with key financial concepts, including performance measurement metrics
