AON Natural Resources (Energy) Account Executive in London, United Kingdom

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, collaborative, and highly successful team that has enjoyed strong year-on-year growth handling a diverse portfolio of Energy clients.
The team sits within Aon's Global Broking Centre, which is our speciality broking practice focusing on the London international insurance market.
This role involves renewal, new placement strategy, and execution for some of Aon’s largest energy, power and renewable clients.

Client and market-facing duties managing renewal/new business management from strategy ideation to market execution
Working closely with global energy, power and renewables colleagues
Working on renewal and new business (wholesale/retail)

We will rely on you to
Contribute to the growth of the portfolio by servicing a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business
Client/network management:
Relationship development/management
Run renewal strategy meetings (RSMs)
Lead London/international market roadshows
Quote terms
Present terms
Bind coverage
Own template emails
Support tenders/RFPs
Market execution:
Proactively handle market relationships and support our broking strategy
Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, including preparation of underwriting presentations
Negotiation with underwriters, face-to-face and electronically
Quote and place business within the London market, including facilities
General administration:
File maintenance and management, including marketing sheets
Document/MRC/MRCe review and completion
The use of PPL and other London market / Aon proprietary systems
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of required training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.

The energy, power and renewables team sits under the umbrella of natural resources, which places more than USD 1.7bn of premiums annually into the London and international insurance market and comprises brokers with a high level of experience and excellent reputation.
You will be at the forefront of supporting the growth of our team’s brand through servicing and prospecting clients, hosting client visits and driving the subsequent placement strategy in conjunction with our retail colleagues.

Proven insurance/reinsurance experience within energy, power and renewables
Technical knowledge of energy, power/renewables client challenges and creative lateral thinking of solutions – ‘client first’ mentality
Preference for working in an inclusive and collaborative manner
Familiarity with insurance industry IT systems
Experience in managing client relationships
Effective communication and presentation skills
Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
