Red Hat/Infrastructure as Code & DevSecOps - Advisory Consultant

What you’ll achieve

As a member of the services delivery team, you will work alongside Dell Consultants, to earn the customer’s trust through competence, technical acumen, consulting expertise, and partnership. This position requires a dynamic individual with expert customer-facing skills. The ability to guide customers and clearly articulate findings and roadmaps is essential.

You will:

• Drive the adoption of RedHat Technologies, leveragingexpertise in RedHat products, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to simplify IT service in regulated areas, including running customer workshops, identifying risks and come-up with mitigations

• Work with pre-sales and delivery to enhance IaC platforms with Red Hat solutions to align with business needs, increasing IT operations efficiency.

• Empower customers with self-sufficiency for the IaC platform's operation and scaling, coordinating troubleshooting across teams for effective problem resolution.

• Lead automation to foster innovation and streamline processes within operational teams, focusing on high-value activities for business advancement.

• Advocate for agility and security by integrating DevSecOps principles, improving the IT landscape's security and efficiency. 

Essential Requirements

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity, proactive and self-motivated to meet deadlines, agile methodologyexpertise, and ability to share knowledge through workshops and pairing sessions.

• Extensive experience in deploying, configuring, and automating Red Hat products, including Red Hat OpenShift and its ecosystem (ACM, ACS, Quay, Podman), Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Advanced skills in Ansible, cloud automation tools, secrets management (Hashicorp Vault), and incorporating MLOps for streamlined machine learning workflows.

• Profound understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD practices, expertise in Git and GitOps, and proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially OpenShift pipelines, for seamless IT infrastructure and software delivery.

• Strong foundation in API development and scripting in Python, Golang, or PowerShell, with familiarity in JSON/YAML. Proficiency in Agile software development practices and tools, such as JIRA, and commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Specialization in declarative code writing using Ansible within an IaC framework, understanding of state management and service discovery, and proficiency in integrating Service Catalogues (e.g., ServiceNow) for enhanced IT service delivery.
