Oracle is a technology leader that is changing how the world does business. We seek a Senior Applications Sales Executive to help us connect our customers with the tools they need to evolve. Oracle - Energy & Water provides commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions for all major functions in the Energy & Water Sector. These include Customer Experience Management, Customer Billing, Meter Data Management and OT/AT. Winning new Applications license business, engaging with customers and prospects to present and sell E&W applications, and winning new license sales revenue in line with targets.

  • Developing a strategy and sales plan to address designated accounts

  • Account selling – identify value proposition; whitespace; proactively propose applications to account

  • Identify and grow partnerships to successfully address client’s needs and create differentiators

  • Marshalling internal and Partner resources to conduct the sales process

  • Facilitating and nurturing Senior Management relationships to generate active sponsorship of Oracle

  • Actively maintaining a depth of product knowledge of Oracle solutions in the E&W market

  • Research and communicate current industry trends, drivers and potential

  • Co-ordinate marketing activities to generate leads

  • Deliver and co-ordinate customer presentations and demonstrations

  • Proven track record in building relationships at all levels

  • Understand funding / financial challenges in the region and be familiar with the execution of financial impacts

Responsibilities:

  • Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers.

  • Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning.

  • Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application.

  • Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition.

  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale.

  • Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience:

  • The successful candidate must have extensive experience of selling enterprise software preferably within the Energy and Water Business Sector.

  • The successful candidate will have experience of working in the C suite to influence buying decisions and the development of business cases and also be comfortable in discussion around challenges facing the energy and water sectors.

  • The successful candidate will need to retain credibility with external and internal stakeholders and spend significant time with potential, and current, customers to influence the adoption and value of the Oracle solution suite. Key to successful delivery will be the leveraging of the internal matrixed organisation and determining when to engage pre-sales and articulate customer needs to Product Management.

  • Prioritization of accounts, pre-sales, product development and commercial resources will require exemplary communication and teamworking skills.

  • The successful candidate must be fluent in English and French and any other European language would be very advantageous.

  • The candidate must be willing to undertake extensive travel as part of the role (50%)

  • Ideally the candidate will already have experience/knowledge of Oracle’s Software Solution
