We are moving from selling point products to building solutions. Digital solutions that are based on customer outcomes.

The main challenge for this role is how you will build propositions that will shape our customers future with the right digital infrastructure? We need you to build commercial and pricing solutions that will blow the socks off our customers. We need you to get inside the minds of our customers, understand their challenges and then create commercial plans that compel them to act and choose BT.

It’s about thinking differently

The commercial and proposition team for CPS is responsible for setting and delivering the business plan for the segment by creating the right portfolio and the right commercial/trading plan to deliver the business and customer outcomes to win in the market and grow the business profitably.

The small print

  • This role will drive and implement the commercial strategy for digital solutions and is responsible for:

  • Ultimately, ensuring commercial excellence for digital solutions propositions, driving the best customer and commercial outcomes

  • Creating an innovative approach to pricing and trading digital solutions that combines existing kit bag of products, services and propositions (networking, voice and mobile portfolio) with new developments in Cloud, Security, 5G and IoT to deliver unbeatable value for money but also commercial solutions that work better together to meet our customers’ business outcome goals

  • Be the expert on customers’ commercial needs and buying patterns, based on market commercial insight and win/loss trading analysis and translate this into how we can better win in the market

  • Work with Propositions Managers to define target cohorts of customers for existing and new digital solutions, translating this into business benefits

  • Drive the digital solutions trading plan to support £multi-million P&L. Monitor and track performance to ensure across CPS we all deliver as planned, identifying initiatives to tackle underperformance and when to exploit opportunities to accelerate and outperform plan

  • Defining the 5 year plan (in detail for 18 mths) for digital solutions P&L growth, leading on annual MTP input for your area

  • Management of key stakeholders so that everyone is on board with the commercial strategy, including sales leadership and colleagues and the wider Enterprise organisation
