Amazon Senior Product Manager, Amazon Freight in London, United Kingdom
Description
Amazon Freight is looking to hire a Senior Product Manager to define the product strategy for its newest business, called Less-than-Truckload (LTL) which is an external facing Freight service.
This position is based out of our London Corporate Office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
Key job responsibilities
Gain a deep understanding of the industry, customer and operator experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience, operator productivity and drive growth
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
Translate findings into detailed requirements, prototypes or program initatives
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders (tech, product teams, finance, marketing, analytics, etc.) tech teams to deliver initiatives and features
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Gather customer feedback on product and features to drive continuous improvement
Develop metrics and KPIs to track impact
A day in the life
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for gathering customer requirements, define the strategy for the product, planning, implementing, and driving initiatives that improve our product offering. You’ll work with colleagues to understand their areas, learn and expand your knowledge, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.
You’ll encourage and support your colleagues and stakeholders to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.
About the team
Amazon couldn’t deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative and efficient.
Basic Qualifications
A degree
Relevant experience of product management, program management, or technology experience
Experience with end to end product delivery
Relevant experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Analytical abilities with experience using qualitative and quantitative skills to develop product/ program strategies
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Python skills
Relevant experience in Supply Chain / Logistics
