Stantec Sustainability Environmental Consultant in London, United Kingdom

Would you like to be part of the drive and creation of sustainable buildings in the bid to achieve net zero carbon?

We are looking for a Sustainability / Energy Consultant to join our growing team in either our Reading or London office to support and provide specialist input with developing low carbon, sustainable solutions for a range of projects from small Urban regeneration schemes to exciting large campus and city scale master planning commissions.

You will be joining a tight knit team who are already at the cutting edge of this field, assisting us with informing and advising our clients in this important and rapidly changing area. Moreover, with Stantec’s global presence, you will find yourself collaborating with teams all over the world to deliver environmentally friendly solutions.

Day to day you will be working closely with our project teams, guiding current schemes in relation to environmental sustainability and carbon management as well as identifying opportunities for growth and assisting our bids for future work.

You will also undertake carbon and wider sustainability assessments on a range of projects, with a particular focus on energy, Carbon Management and Post Occupancy Evaluation.

ABOUT YOU

You will have a good understanding of Installed Building Services (M&E) systems, solutions and integration. You will also be familiar with Thermal Modelling, utilising Integrated Environmental Solutions Ltd (IES) software as well as experience with Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) and Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) calculations.

It would be advantageous to have good knowledge of Daylight / Sunlight modelling and reporting, in addition to Passivhaus consultancy and Passivhaus Planning Package modelling.

Furthermore, a background within residential, commercial offices and/or shell & core would be beneficial for this role.
