Novitex Supervisor in London, Kentucky

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the production department for a particular shift. This includes overseeing the processes and efficiencies for day-to-day production activities. Ensure quality standards, production goals and client deadlines are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with the Operations Manager to develop and monitor internal and external procedures.
  • Create an empowering culture that generates associate ownership.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure quality and timeliness of jobs and maintain quality standards in all areas of production.
  • Performs training for new or transferring employees, on equipment and quality procedures.
  • Oversee the production schedule and manage progress.
  • Validate turnover communication for accuracy.
  • Conduct personnel appraisal process.
  • Assist in developing production goals and lead team to meet those goals.
  • Assist in leading cross-functional and cross-site teams to develop and implement improvement ideas.
  • Will monitor workflow and assign duties as necessary to meet Service Level Agreements
  • Validate all processes are being followed and continually look at ways to make things more efficient
  • Support corporate leadership and initiatives
  • Responsible of reviewing and communicating production reports and statistics.
  • Handle employee issues regarding discipline, performance management and salary recommendations.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three-five years experience in a leadership role.
  • Three-Five years experience in the remittance lockbox operations.
  • Able to develop action plans for process improvements that create efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Fully understands job flow and the impacts of events and delays on downstream processes affecting production.
  • Outstanding leadership abilities, including development of staff, innovation and risk taking, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to motivate individuals and create a team environment.
  • Excellent trouble shooting and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable with changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word & Excel

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Resourceful: Ability to develop alternate methods to produce the necessary output when needed.
  • Good personnel leadership skills including the ability to motivate, coach and positively direct employees.
  • Must have strong communication and organization skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing and/or sitting
  • Use of electronic equipment, including computers and telephones, for extended periods of time.
