The Material Project Management position is located in Londonderry NH, within the IVS Systems Business Area. This position will be responsible for managing material requirements / supply chain projects on NPI & Production programs, and will be a focal point for all material bidding / requirements, and requires daily interface with the following departments; Estimating, Finance, Engineering, Planning / Scheduling, Subcontracts, Procurement, Program Management, Field Sites, Integration Labs, Manufacturing as well as suppliers to ensure all material is available on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing weekly reporting, data analysis on the health of NPI and /or production programs, schedule, material budgets; monthly forecasts, EACs and comprehensive business analysis of program material requirements to communicate and manage impacts to stakeholders and the supply chain business area for all material related actions.
Works collaboratively with program office and functional management, as well as internal supply chain stakeholders, to define and support task requirements; estimate, establish budget and schedules at baselining of programs; determine appropriate performance metrics; clarify priorities; and develop and implement specific management plans to support the execution of the program or project.
Interacts with engineering / engineering design reviews, planning, procurement, quality and operations personnel to ensure the availability of accurate technical product documentation and challenge the project on timing and supply chain impact.
Works with engineering and program integrated product teams before BOMs are created and drawings are released to develop material requirements, plan, requisition and expedite material during various stages of the design cycle.
Participates in the review and approval of engineering change orders, work with configuration management to establish MRP parameters, BOM structure for manufacturability, dispositions and actions ECOs while ensuring execution of implementation plans.
Assists in reviewing proposals, statements of work (SOWs, to include subcontract SOWs) to establish status metrics and reporting methods that assists with make / buy decisions, follows up on open purchase orders, verifies delivery, participates in resolving supplier issues.
Utilizes program management tools to monitor and report program performance to objectives (including budget, schedule, and other management requirements) and facilitate project coordination and decision-making by senior management.
Assists in the development and delivery of presentations / recommendations to program managers, supply chain leadership and company management, as well as other stakeholders, relating to applicable program management plans.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
