Robert Half Dispatcher in Long Beach, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Dispatcher in the Oil & Gas industry. The role is based in Long Beach, California and involves coordinating the daily activities of internal Maintenance Technicians and utilizing outside vendor support as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the resolution process of all service calls, repairs, upgrades, compliance, and any other issues as may be needed.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and coordinate daily, weekly, monthly and annual Maintenance Department schedules
• Ensure Site Service and Equipment Records are accurate and up to date
• Dispatch Maintenance Technicians, Vendors, Equipment, Services, and anything else needed to address Site issues
• Track and follow up on open service calls, repairs, upgrades, and site issues to resolve and close out in a timely manner
• Track and follow up on Approvals, Warranty, and Invoicing for service calls, repairs, upgrades, and any other site issues
• Prioritize all calls and ensure they are responded to in the appropriate time and manner
• Order parts as needed and verify warranty and core returns are processed and completed
• Assist with Internal Maintenance Technician vehicle inventory controls through scheduled inventory audits
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of Internal Maintenance Technician certifications
• Assist in obtaining quotes and proposals as needed to run cost analysis for repair replacement decisions
• Utilize Key Performance Indicators for monitoring of Vendors and Internal Maintenance Technicians
• Provide timely reports on Maintenance Department Operations
• Assist in processing of all Maintenance Department paperwork and information such as but not limited to invoices, timesheets, proposals, inspection reports. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a dispatching role within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in handling service calls and managing customer inquiries.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage proposal documents.
• Excellent skills in account maintenance including tracking, documenting, and reporting service calls.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various departments and clients.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in using dispatching software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address dispatching issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the job.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in the Oil & Gas industry.
