Job Summary

Director Network Analytics are responsible for ideating, designing, and implementing technical solutions to complex business problems. The role supports the Data and Analytics Team with intimate knowledge of Field and Network Operations and is given authority to prioritize analyses, and coordinate work products. They are integrated into the day-to-day of the functional areas, sitting in the executive leadership's staff meetings where they will serve as an active participant.

They are responsible for communicating complex concepts to business users and bridging technical and non-technical programs. This individual understands the business implications of their technical programs and are responsible for designing solutions that drive business impact. Serves as a cross-functional mentor and leader within the organization and is a trusted resource to senior leaders throughout the company.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Field Operations Organization in the FAST Analytics organization to collect, assess, prioritize, and route data, metrics, reporting, and analytics needs to the appropriate Data and Analytics functional group(s)
  • Coordinate with leaders to define well-formed business questions to drive impact to the business with a focus on customer experience
  • Design and execute analyses to answer business questions in an efficient manner
  • Coordinate projects with peer functional groups in Data, Metrics and Reporting, Backend data groups, and Machine Learning Analysts
  • Manage a team of data analysts to ingest, document, route, and execute the analytical needs of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Able to perform and mentor the team regarding their analytic topics:
    • Data Manipulation: Assemble data sets from various data sources by leveraging sharp SQL skills
    • Strategic Analytics: Leverage statistics and data science to develop models to understand the relationship between customer, network, equipment, and product related attributes. Develop predictive models to improve customer experience, identify network impairments, equipment issues, and anomalies.
    • Impact Analysis: Develop segmentation, classification, and statistical analyses to measure the impact of factors on key process performance measures.
    • Experimental Design: Design experiments intended to test and improve business performance. Collaborate with business leaders regarding experiment design and results.
    • Collaboration: Interface cross-functionally with various teams, including Data Warehousing, Data Science, Field Operations, Networking, and Engineering.
    • Insights: Leverage the latest in cloud technologies to amplify your analytical depth, focused on applied machine learning

  • Fluently communicate with all levels of the company, both verbally or through presentations, regarding analytical needs, operational processes, and analytical findings.
Qualifications
  • Requires 12+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in software engineering, mathematics, economics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise performing data analytics utilizing Tableau, MicroStrategy, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Conducts multiple tasks in parallel. May serve as a technical lead for these tasks among more junior team members.
  • Executes multiple complex tasks independently. Serves as the technical lead across multiple workstreams of large business importance.
  • Requires little to no direct supervision to complete tasks. Serves as technical lead across multiple workstreams of large business importance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to perform well under pressure while handling multiple tasks, and ability to work a flexible schedule.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $141,372.00-222,000/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
