Los Alamos National Laboratory Student Programs Post-Bach Intern in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do
MPA-CINT is seeking a Post-Bachelor's intern to help support the CINT User Program at the Gateway. The selected candidate will assist with creative outreach efforts and will provide administrative support to CINT staff and CINT users.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in graphic design, event planning, outreach, and who is looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with our staff to create distinctive outreach materials and to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Communication-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse technical and professional population.
Organization-Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to working on a team.
Graphic Design/Software-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite design software including Premier Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat.
Computer Skills-Proficiency in using office productivity software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Google Suite etc.
Experience working in a customer service environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in event planning.
Experience with web content management systems.
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Education and Experience:
- Must have earned a Bachelor's degree within the last 3 years in Communications, Graphics Design, Business Administration or a related field, with a GPA of 2.75 or above.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
